Gus G. Shares New Playthrough Video for ‘Advent’

Gus G., the iconic guitarist and Rock Kommander ambassador, has just released a playthrough video for his latest solo track, “Advent.” This marks his first solo release in four years, and the song is now available to stream.

Best known as the founder of Firewind, Gus G. is also a playable character in Rock Kommander, where he brings his signature energy to the stage. As an official ambassador for the game, Gus continues to bridge the worlds of metal and gameplay.

In his own words, Gus says, “Advent is synonymous with arrival. It’s a fitting title not only because it’s my first solo release in 4 years, but because it’s a piece of music about the journey of life and its mysteries. We are all voyagers in this world, and we go through phases, ups and downs, and new beginnings.”

The song began as an unfinished demo Gus rediscovered and reworked. Using a 7-string guitar, he created a modern, melodic track with a strong groove. The song starts with a tribal-style beat and melody that builds into a chorus featuring arpeggios and deep rhythm guitars. The bridge has a darker, Sabbath-style riff, and the solo section adds tension and emotion before resolving with a final chorus. It’s a song about movement, change, and finally, arrival.

“Advent” is a dynamic instrumental that shows off Gus G.’s creativity and depth as a guitarist.
