Waters describes this record as faster and more live in feeling compared to the previous one. Some songs touch on political themes in a straightforward way, while others reflect on personal experiences or simply lean into fun. Tracks like “The Punk Rockers Were Right” show a shift in perspective, while “Take Back” looks at how people connected before screens became part of everyday life.
Metal Department will release The Sheeple Swing on March 31, 2026. The first single, “(I Won) The Hottie Lottery,” is already streaming as of March 2, 2026.
The Lineup Behind The Sheeple Swing Album
The project remains tight and focused. Jeff Waters handles guitars, bass, and backing vocals. Stu Block returns on lead vocals. Bob Katsionis adds keys and piano, and Ruby Ward appears again for character moments. Waters programs the drums using Superior Drummer 3, which supports the quick transitions and bold shifts between styles that define the album.
If you have followed the trilogy from the beginning, the progression is clear. Armageddon Boogie in 2024 introduced the concept. All That Jive in 2025 expanded the hard rock side. Now, The Sheeple Swing closes the story with a sharper and more direct edge. Three albums, three angles, one creative vision.
The Rock Kommander Connection
This trilogy exists in part because Rock Kommander backed it. Jeff Waters was the first licensed artist we brought into the game, and that early collaboration helped prove that real rock icons could become playable characters in a meaningful way.
Since then, many artists have joined, but Jeff remains the longest running collaborator across music releases, in game events, and exclusive content. The connection between AMERIKAN KAOS and Rock Kommander goes beyond promotion. It is part of how both projects evolved.
